Our client is a rapidly growing mid-tier that has more than doubled in size over the past 3 years. They are seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to join their team in the DC Metro area.

• Newly created position that will provide hands-on accounting leadership in consolidated financial statement preparation, revenue recognition & unbilled receivables, and government contract compliance and regulatory reporting
• Assistant Controller will step into the Controller role once the incumbent retires in the next 2-3 years
• Hybrid work schedule / flexible work schedule (come in early / leave early etc.)

To be considered for an interview following experience/skills are desired:

• CPA and/or Masters in Accountancy
• 10+ years of hands-on financial accounting, cost accounting & financial statement preparation
• Must be well versed in GAAP, CAS, FAR & DFAR compliance (ASC 606 & DCAA compliance)
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements for a multi-company corporate structure
• Current Costpoint user experience
